This summer, we’ve been working on some smaller projects around our house. We shared our Garden Shed Reveal on the blog a couple weeks ago, and today we are sharing the updates we made to our kids bathroom! -THE BEFORE- When we moved into our home 2 years ago, this was definitely the nicest room in our house. The previous owners had done some really great updates to this bathroom, which made the perfect base to work off of. Compare to the rest of the projects that we’ve tackled, I was excited that this one only needed some small changes! Over the last year and a half, I’ve been thinking up different ideas of some small changes we could… Read more »
Throughout the summer, we’ve been working through some projects in our backyard to get it a little closer to our end goal, (which includes various seating areas and lots of lavender and hydrangea bushes!) However, before we can start adding in gardens and picking out furniture we’ve got some items to check off the list, including our garden shed. Since moving in, I had planned to repaint it, but was excited to work with the symmetrical shape and flower boxes.

The shiplap comes pre-painted so you don’t have to worry about dry time. Just measure cut and install. This means no painting equipment is required, and will also allow… Read more »
It’s been just under a month since we shared the full reveal of our basement for this spring’s One Room Challenge, and since then the kids have loved playing in their new space! Previous to this renovation, we would spend as little time as possible in the basement. It always felt cold and uninviting. Since completing the space, Steve and I even love spending time down there reading books to the kids or checking out the new fort they’ve built. Installing the Karastan carpet was a game changer and has really made the space so cozy! When I was at my local flooring retailer last fall, I came across the Savanna Scenes Antelope print and right away thought about our… Read more »
I cannot believe we’ve made it to week six of our One Room Challenge, and I am so so excited to finally share the full space with you guys! This makeover was so much work, but so worth it. The kids absolutely love playing in their new space, and I love how it reflects their little personalities! – t h e b e f o r e – Incase you forget what we started with (I can hardly remember what it used to look like!) here is a reminder! It looks so much worse now looking back at these photos! Before we opened up under the stairs and removed the bump out above! – t h e a f t… Read more »
