All the details on our kitchen plumbing fixtures

We are coming up to a year with our new kitchen, and I wanted to write a review on the plumbing fixtures. From everything I love, to what I wish I knew before purchasing!

1. the Sink Faucet

The sink faucet was one of the pieces I went back and forth on for a while. I had always envisioned a bridge faucet here, but ended up on this single handle faucet and have had no regrets! I love that it has a pull out spray, (It is so handy when I’m cleaning out my sink!) and the single lever makes it easy to set the temperature. I love that the polished finish adds depth agains the unlacquered brass hardware.

2. the Sink Strainers

I love the beautiful detail these basket strainers add to the sink, and am so glad there was a matching finish I could pair with the faucet! The design is really pretty and feels a bit vintage. They are perfect for making a soapy sink of water (which I do throughout the day!) to wash dishes and wipe down the counters. The one comment I would make about them is that they fall into place really easily compared to my last sink strainers, so sometimes I accidentally start making a sink of water when running the tap. I typically store them in the sink upside down to prevent this. Just took a bit of getting used to 🙂

3. the Cast Iron Sink

As soon as I saw this sink I loved the old world feel that it had. The subtle curves and enamel finish made it feel like it could have been restored from a historic home which was right inline with the design aesthetic I was after. The finish is super durable and doesn’t scratch or crack. It does scuff a bit or stain if it is not rinsed right away, but nothing that is permanent. I would 100% go with this exact same sink if I was designing another kitchen for myself!

4. the Pot Filler

If you’ve read some of my previous blog posts on our kitchen, you will know just how much I love this piece! Everything from the design to the functionality is perfect in the space. It acts as a beautiful accent above the range, and is used by our family every day. It was a great piece to install. Since it is a wall faucet theres always some concern about it not hanging straight. The hardware they provided allowed us to secure it tightly to the wall and the backplate covered up the opening behind so it has a really seamless look. All around I love this fixture!
