It’s just over a month till Christmas, and all our decorations are slowing coming out of the boxes. I’m hoping to get to setting up our tree later today with the kids. Over the last couple of years we have collected ornaments that showed where we were at that point in our life. It’s always fun to pull them out each year and have all the memories flood back!
All the snow we got over the last couple of weeks melted, so Steve was able to finish putting up all the Christmas lights on the outside of our house. You can also see how our front landscape is coming together, and get a peek at the newest member of our family! All the Ipe wood boards are installed, and next spring we plan to sand it down and oil it. We plan to also finish all the stone garden beds and pea gravel walkway. Here’s a quick sketch I did on my phone when we first started redoing our front yard! (Maybe one day we will get to the covered porch 😉 )
I’ve been looking forward to the opening of Fora Outdoor for a couple weeks now! They have their Outdoors for the Holidays event today which we are planning to go to, and I’m hoping I can get some greenery for our front porch. We also might stop by their cafe and do one of their Christmas planter workshops!
