Meet the Summer Collection

When Steve and I first purchased our home almost 7 years ago, I couldn’t stop thinking of all the potential the house had. I thought through so many layouts, carefully considered natural light, and imagined all the ways I could make this house a home. However, what I largely underestimated was our backyard. Settled in an old neighbourhood, our yard was deep and contained mature trees. It’s tranquil and gets a lovely amount of sun during the day with bits of the sunset peeking through in the evenings. Shortly after moving in we added a pergola to the backyard with lounge furniture to extend our living space. Last summer we furthered the yards use by adding a two level pea gravel patio with vegetable gardens, a space for dining, as well as a water feature to add blissful ambiance to our time spent outdoors. My yard has become an oasis of sorts. With our new gardens I’ve been outdoors more and more and love spending time as a family out on the patio. More than ever I’ve found my favourite activities are ones spent in our little English paradise.

It was that love of being outside that inspired the Summer Collection for Annie & Flora. The collection is focused on that feeling. That feeling of fresh air, the warmth of the sunshine, and the beautiful picturesque views of greenery and blue skies.

I wanted to bring this freshness and tranquility inside and it’s come together with the most beautiful pieces. By merging the serenity of the outdoors with the coziness of the indoors we’ve sourced breathtaking artwork, organic pottery and most excitedly our very own furniture line (which will be launching soon!) I am so excited for you to get to know each and every piece we have curated for the Market and I hope you find some special pieces to add to your collection of timeless decor.
