I’m so excited to finally be sharing our home office with you guys! Our space started out really uninspiring and wasn’t somewhere I loved working. The white walls, tongue and groove ceiling and light fixture were a good base, but overall the space wasn’t functional. We were lacking storage and desk space and did not have a ton of room to work with. That’s when Canadian Tire came in with their fall/winter CANVAS Living Collection to spruce up the space. – T H E B E F O R E S- -T H E A F T E R S- We reworked the layout to fit two CANVAS Walker Dining tables which almost doubled our desk space. I love how much room… Read more »
Over the summer, Steve and I had a list of projects we wanted to tackle in our backyard. When we bought our home, it was 75% garden, so after taking out most of the gardens and laying sod, we were finally ready to start working towards our end goal. It’s been fun working with a pretty blank slate and picturing how we would use the space with our family. One of mine and Steve’s favourite memories growing up was having campfires with our family. It was always a highlight for us, and we loved the idea of making those memories with our kids! Our property is narrow, but fairly deep, and the back corner worked the best. It’s been a while since I’ve done a weekend post. Life gets so much busier in the summer, but I finally feel like I’m getting back into our regular routine. If you’ve been following some of our Instagram and blog posts, you might know that we’ve been working on some projects at our own home over the last couple of months. We shared our garden shed reveal a couple weeks ago, and our kids bath update this past week. I shared that I was still looking for some vintage pieces to finish off the kids bathroom. I love the idea of a little antique wood step stool they can use to wash their hands and brush their teeth. This is… Read more »
This summer, we’ve been working on some smaller projects around our house. We shared our Garden Shed Reveal on the blog a couple weeks ago, and today we are sharing the updates we made to our kids bathroom! -THE BEFORE- When we moved into our home 2 years ago, this was definitely the nicest room in our house. The previous owners had done some really great updates to this bathroom, which made the perfect base to work off of. Compare to the rest of the projects that we’ve tackled, I was excited that this one only needed some small changes! Over the last year and a half, I’ve been thinking up different ideas of some small changes we could… Read more »
Throughout the summer, we’ve been working through some projects in our backyard to get it a little closer to our end goal, (which includes various seating areas and lots of lavender and hydrangea bushes!) However, before we can start adding in gardens and picking out furniture we’ve got some items to check off the list, including our garden shed. Since moving in, I had planned to repaint it, but was excited to work with the symmetrical shape and flower boxes.
